Club Captain Report
It seems
unreal that the Super 15 is about to start and we are at last basking in the
Sun. The BBQ has been fired up and the deck is in use - lets hope it lasts.
Possibly the single most vital thing that keeps any Club going is money - yes
Members and Players are essential, but the cost to run a Club is escalating. An
example is our insurance has increased by 50% for this year.
We need huge
support to get through the season and I thought I would use this space to talk
sponsorship. The Committee has embarked on a program to try to gain as much
local support as we can.
You sure can
help by putting us on to people/companies who you believe may want to become a
Tawa Rugby Sponsor. We can tailor a sponsor package for any budget. If you have
any thoughts or ideas that can help or have a heap of cash that needs a home,
then please contact a member of the Committee.
We are
focusing more on local content for the Club. It is getting tougher to gain
grants from Trusts etc as we now have less pools with everyone or everything
vying for the available monies.
Theses are
tough times and this Club is strong, but we need cash to run the Tawa Rugby Football
Club. Any help will be totally appreciated.
