Welcome all,

Tawa completed its pre-season campaign last weekend with a final workout against Upper Hutt on Saturday. The games have all been well-attended and from all accounts have set us up nicely for the start of the new season.
 

The dawn of the 2025 season is now upon us next Saturday with the Premier, Premier Reserves, and Colts traveling to take on OBU, the Ducks hosting HOBM at Redwood Park, and our Reserve Grade taking on Johnsonville Cripples at the home of rugby, Lyndhurst Park.

If you can, let’s all get out and support our teams as I know it is very much appreciated by the players and does make a difference. The important thing is to have fun and support in a meaningful and considerate manner.

I can’t finish this week's column without commenting on the outstanding display by both the Canes and Moana Pacific. In both games you had the senior leaders really stepping up, which gave the rest of the players the confidence to express their unique skill sets. How good was Ruben Love and our own Pepesana Patafilo.
