Super Rugby continues to entertain with another 300+ points scored across the five games. Not sure how to reason the high score lines, but I like to take the positive view that attack has got better and teams are taking their opportunities. I'd like to say defense has improved, but that would be a contradiction, particularly in the case of Sotutu's
and Tele'a's tries v Canes last night.
On that note, apparently three old geezers were snapped on TV at the Stadium thanks to Normie the Sky camera man, who is an ex Tawa Prezzie. He had great delight in texting afterwards, saying ''got yas'' as they are mostly very uncomplimentary. Ask Gary Beecroft...
Yes, it was the Hurricanes' game to lose and make the Blues feel not so 'blue'. However to the Blues credit, Sotutus' and Tele'a's tries mentioned earlier were impressive, especially Tele'a. Tele'a's try was a direct result of kicking down Beauden's throat midfield on their 22m. He scorched left to link up with Clarke, and to be fair we should expect nothing less from three All Black 3/4s.
It was good to hear from Banksy in Las Vegas with his lovely wife Lisa for the Warriors v Raiders game. There was a lot of hype and expectation apparently, with half of Auckland there wearing Warriors jerseys in the stands. I hope they're not disappointed: final score was 30 - 8.
