A Celebration of Life
A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Monday 1 July 2024 at 1.00pm at the Whenatapu Crematorium. We invite all who knew Bob to join us in paying tribute to a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many within our club and the wider community.
Bob's Rugby Journey
Bob's rugby journey began with the Onslow and
Wests clubs before he found his home with Tawa. For many years, he was a stalwart of the pressies team, known for his unwavering commitment and love for the game. Bob continued to play until he was 50, demonstrating a spirit and determination that inspired those around him.
Life Beyond the Field
Bob's influence extended beyond the rugby field. He worked at
Carters in Kenepuru for many years, where he became a familiar face to many local tradesmen who also shared a connection with the club. His interactions and friendships built through his work further strengthened the bonds within our community.
Upon retiring, Bob and his wife, Lynda, moved to Foxton Beach.
Rest in peace, Bob. You will forever be a part of the Tawa Rugby Football Club family.
