Hi ,
This weekend will be my first live game for almost a month. How time flies!
One hell of a Game at the Stadium. At the AMRA function I was
at, several of us Canes Fans were keeping up with the score. At 19-8 half-time we all thought it was a tough ask. At the 59th minute, the half-time Oranges kicked in. I really have to know what is in those Cane's Oranges. Awesome come back winning the Game by one point. The win put us in a Competition Winning (I believe) spot, against the Brumbies over the Creek. I can't see any other than New Zealand Teams being in the Semi Finals. Really pleased to see the Fijian Drua in the
Quarters.
Back home, that had to be a real "nail biter" Game at The Fortress last Saturday. Just slipped ever so slightly to 9th on the Table, but I have faith we will get into the top 8. Will have to keep the head down against Poneke this weekend.
Our Premier 2's will have a
tougher encounter against No 3 on the Table. Poneke have only lost one Game and will no doubt be targeting our Boys to ensure that stays that way. The only problem is, our Boys are on a different mission!
Our Colts had a Bye last weekend, but are not doubt raring to take on Poneke on Friday night at Te Whaea Artificial.
The Tawa Ducks had another decisive win over Stokes Valley last Saturday and are also vs Poneke, who are one step and one point ahead on the Table.
Our Reserves play the Axemen at Ian Galloway. Back in the day, I used to tell my Team I coached "make sure you have no open cuts, or you may end up with some disease not known to
mankind".
