Hi ,

Round 9 of the NPC finished last weekend. Some interesting results; our Lions continued on their winning way to now be in the quarter finals aginst Hawkes Bay, who will have something to prove after losing the Log O Wood to us; Bay of Plenty lost by one point to Waikato, which gives them the dubious honour of playing each other again at the same venue; Auckland vs North Harbour for the rights to the Bridge; Canterbury vs Northland - hmm! At this early stage, I predict a Lions vs Cantrerbury Final. If that happens, I further predict our Lions taking the Silverware. 

Well it is here this weekend - BATHURST!! The other weekend where Australia stops! This is the last Season for Holden's running in the Supercars main event. Obviously, this is the very last Holden Supercar race on The Mountain. The wise money will be on Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander, with Garth having won the Great Race 4 times and Shane (current Leader in the 2022 championship) once. Keep an eye on Jamie Whincup with his up and coming Broc Feeney, not to mention Craig Lowndes as a wild card entry. Chaz Mostert, twice winner, will be pairing with Kiwi, Fabian Coulthard. Erebus Motorsport have entered a wild card entry with two Kiwis - Richie Stanaway and the iconic 4 times winner of the Great Race, Greg Murphy. I predict a top 10 finish for Greg & Richie. Brad Jones Racing has Kiwi Andre Heimgartner partnering Dale Wood. Andre is starting to fire this Season with BJR. Another Kiwi, Chris Pither is racing with Cameron Hill for Premier Racing. Be foolish to write off Mark (Frostie) Winterbottom with Michael Caruso. Coincidently, all of the aforementioned are driving Holden ZB Commodore's. 

This weekend also marks the start of the Womens World Cup in Waikato and greater Auckland - and on Spark?? Some pretty informed decisions. Being Kiwis, we will all want to watch for the results. Our Girls have been through a major transformation since last years Tour.

A huge weerkend of Sport. With a quarter final at home and all things being equal, a semi to follow.
