Club Notice

Hi ,

After decades of dedicated service to Tawa Rugby Footbal Club our Patron Paul McEnaneny has decided to step down. He is leaving some very big shoes to fill, we all would like to thank him for the important role he has played in our Club.

At the AGM on Monday, Paul nominated Tom King as our future Patron.

TOM KING

Tom became a member of the rugby Club in the early eighties. His son Tony wanted to play rugby. Tom was quickly appointed coach of his team and the following year was his appoint to the committee of the school boy section.

He was President and Chairman 1998 - 2000. He was also member of the organising committee for the 50th Jubilee.

Tom has been a loyal supporter and seldom misses a Premier game. This year he was also at many of his grandsons Under 6s games.

You will always find Tom standing on the sideline regardless of the weather. He then heads back in the Clubrooms to enjoy a beer after the Premier games and analyse the game with the other team of critics.
