Hi ,
Another typical Sunny Saturday in Sunny Tawa, after all that rough weather. And then it got worse. Sunday found me driving to Wanganui to secure my HZ after some undesirable people broke in to the garage. Monday was spent between showers beefing up security in the garage with mesh, chains and electronic mechanisms. Later in the arvo was the drive home. The storm started soon after I left Wanganui with all the
paddocks next to the Highway satirated and only inches from over flowing on to State Highway 3. But then it went from worse to atrocious - lightning, torrential rain and a hailstorn going past Ohakea. Everytime the lightning flashed, the radio stopped playing for 10/20 seconds. Very strange! Then it eased back to pretty much continual hard out rain.
Thank goodness last Saturday became fine. Another great result by our Premier 2's. 25 games unbeaten!! Ories played pretty well, but just could not match our Boys.
The Premiers had a tough day, just losing by 1 point in an arm wrestle that went right from the first whistle. One of the better games seen at The Fortress this Season. Always good to see Whetu Henry doing what he does best - leading from the front and being his humble iconic self. Awesome role model.
Our Colts by all accounts are fairing somewhat better. Although beaten, they were scoring tries. Informants tell me they are looking good.
Our Reserves had another tight win, but as long as they are ahead at the Final Whistle, then that is all that counts. Well done.
This Wednesday night we play the Covid affected Round 2 game against Paremata-Plimmerton.
