As the month draws close to an end, it reminds us of less than 4 weeks until our 75th Anniversary! A fair amount of work has gone into the preparations for this milestone weekend, least of all the thought of Covid ever present in the planning. It will be memorable and well worthy for the past, present and future of this great Club. Get your Mates together for reminiscing and making new memories.

The Premiers had a good win keeping them to 5th on the Table. Whilst spending my last day of isolation watching our Boys on Tawa TV, I noticed a few new (?) "ring-ins" by way of Trent, Matt (yes, I have retired) Peniase and a couple of others turning out to take up the slack left by injury and illness. Take a bow for Pride, Tawa - this is what our Boys do to ensure the game goes ahead.

The Premier 2's continued on their winning way, albeit a tight win, keeping them at the top of the table. This weekend the 2's host Oriental-Rongotai at The Fortress. This is actually the Harper Lock Shield Final - everything is on the line for this one. Can our Boys pull this off again? Hometown advantage and our usual crowd of Hometown Supporters will help put this Game to bed.

The Colts had a good win over Avalon, with our Reserves having a good win over OBU 69ers.

Super Rugby had the usual amount of quality Rugby played on both sides of the Tasman. The Canes are well innside the top 8 on the Table which gives our Team a number of possibilities. It does not matter how many times you see the replay, the Highlanders first five dropping Hooper on his head is not a good look. Geez, it happened about 5-8 metres from play?? A real brain fade!

Sport ruled the weekend (again) while I self isolated. Supercars from Winton was amazing as usual. Race 13 won by Waters (Blue badge), 2nd van Gisbergen - Holden, 3rd Reynolds (blue badge). Race 14 won by van Gisbergen - Holden, 2nd Waters, 3rd Reynolds. Race 15 won by Waters, 2nd van Gisbergen, 3rd Heimgartner, another Kiwi! (Reynolds actually came in 4th) Even though it could almost be considered I am just ever so slightly biased, I am pleased to see Waters break through with some consistency. Reynolds had found some past form which is also great. Very pleasing to see Heimgartner break through to the podium as well. He seems to be in a Team that is clicking. That aside, The Giz is still leading the Table rather comfortably at this time.

One of the top three races on the Planet takes place early Monday morning - the Indy 500! Our own Scott Dixon is on Pole with a best speed of 229mph.That is 368.54kph!! Scott McLaughlin is starting 26th. This will be another great race, with the winner getting the customary bottle of milk at the end. Can't wait to view this World class spectacle!
